In Scope

  • Oracle RAC on Oracle Database 19c and later.

  • Oracle ASM database disk groups, typically DATA, FRA, and REDO.

  • Everpure FlashArray storage accessed over iSCSI, Fibre Channel, or NVMe-oF.

  • Protection Group snapshots created from all volumes that back the database ASM disk groups.

  • Restore in place, restore to newly created volumes, and clone to a separate RAC cluster.

Out of Scope

  • Filesystem-based Oracle deployments, including ACFS, ext4, and xfs.

  • Single-instance Oracle databases.

  • Oracle RMAN restore and recovery design.

  • Oracle Data Guard failover or switchover.

  • Restoring the Grid Infrastructure clusterware disk group that holds OCR and voting files, commonly named GRID, CRS, or +OCR.
