Everpure FlashArray Protection Group snapshots enable fast, coordinated recovery and cloning of Oracle RAC databases on ASM when every database volume is captured and restored together. The safest default for non-production use is an alternate-cluster clone. For restore in place, enforce a controlled outage, dismount only database ASM disk groups, overwrite only validated database volumes, and follow the Oracle recovery path appropriate to the original snapshot consistency model.
Across every option: never restore the OCR/voting disk group as part of the database workflow, never mix independently timed volume snapshots, never expose clone volumes to production by accident, and never treat OPEN RESETLOGS as a default operation.
