By default, Purity sends domain name lookup requests out via the management interfaces, not file services VIF. While a file service VIF can be used to route DNS lookups for the system, doing so is strongly discouraged.
As a best practice, Pure recommends that client traffic to the FlashArray be run over a separate IP network than management traffic. For example, this configuration below uses two different IP networks, one for NFS and SMB traffic (192.168.2.x), and the 10.x.x.x for management. The DNS server must be accessible from the 10.x.x.x network, but does not have to be accessible from the 192.168.2.x network.
