Storage vendors can leverage the Veeam Universal Storage API framework to integrate their storage solutions with Veeam Backup & Replication. With this kind of integration, Veeam can use snapshots of Universal Storage API integrated systems to perform backup and restore operations.

The Everpure Plugin for Veeam allows users to create fast backups from storage snapshots for quick and efficient item-level recovery; leverage Everpure snapshots and replicated snapshots to create a robust, enterprise-level data protection solution. Veeam Backup & Replication lets you leverage Everpure snapshots as a part of a comprehensive backup and recovery strategy, where snapshots and image-level backups complement each other.

Everpure was the 2nd Veeam technology alliance partner to release a storage plug-in based on the first Universal Adapter APIs, and the first partner to release an updated plug-in using the second version of the USAPI to provide replication capabilities. Prior to the Universal Adapter, storage array integrations / plug-ins were developed by Veeam engineering. By developing the Everpure plug-in with the Universal Adapter, Everpure is able to innovate and integrate faster with Veeam than what was previously possible.
