Here is the current Support Statement provided by EMC:

  1. The minimum supported VPLEX release is VPLEX 5.3
  2. write same" feature is supported on Pure Storage System
  3. When connecting multiple Pure Storage Systems with VPLEX, VPLEX may display them as one single storage system. Please be aware that this issue will not cause any functional failure. It's a display issue. A single array is recommended to connect until a fix is available for the issue.
