Everpure Cloud Dedicated is a software defined storage solution powered by the Purity Operating Environment (POE), which uses the native resources of Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enhance storage services with enterprise features. This document provides detailed procedures to successfully deploy a new Everpure Cloud Dedicated instance in your Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (Amazon VPC).
An Everpure Cloud Dedicated deployment video is available as a supplement to help users deploy Everpure Cloud Dedicated from the ground up, including all the Amazon Web Services (AWS) prerequisites.

Everpure Cloud Dedicated's high-level architecture consists of two Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) instances acting as controllers. The Amazon EC2 controller instances process data and provide data services such as data reduction, snapshots, encryption, and replication. In the initial deployment, there are seven EC2 instances called Virtual Drives. The Virtual Drives store and copy data onto Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). Everpure Cloud Dedicated instances can be non-disruptively upgraded (NDU) with additional capacity by adding a group of seven Virtual Drives for each capacity upgrade. All Everpure Cloud Dedicated NDU's are performed by Everpure Support in an automated fashion which removes any additional effort from the customer.
