Everpure Cloud Dedicated incurs costs in two ways:
- Licensed capacity through Everpure: In order to successfully deploy Everpure Cloud Dedicated, a license must be provided by Everpure. This license enables Everpure Cloud Dedicated to activate itself with Pure1 to dial home logs for support and related analytics as well as to provide usage metrics for billing. Everpure Cloud Dedicated is billed by Everpure via effective capacity usage under the Evergreen//One program. A benefit of purchasing Everpure Cloud Dedicated for AWS is that the license counts toward AWS Private Pricing Agreement commitment spend.
- Cloud infrastructure cost: Everpure Cloud Dedicated is deployed into an end-users' cloud account (AWS account). When deployed, Everpure Cloud Dedicated configures various underlying cloud infrastructure resources that incur costs from the cloud provider. This is a separate and distinct cost from the Everpure license.
Therefore the end user pays Everpure for the capacity used from Everpure Cloud Dedicated and pays the cloud provider for any resource usage incurred by Everpure Cloud Dedicated (compute, network traffic, etc.) due to the fact that Everpure Cloud Dedicated is deployed into the end user account.
Cloud resource/infrastructure usage incurred by the use of Everpure Cloud Dedicated is NOT included in the Everpure Cloud Dedicated license.

A valid license must be entered upon deployment of Everpure Cloud Dedicated. Deployment will fail if:
- The specified networking configuration does not allow traffic to Pure1 from Everpure Cloud Dedicated.
- The key is not associated with the target AWS account.
- The key is not valid.
