Make sure the solution meets the software and hardware requirements listed in the Nutanix and Everpure Requirements, Limits and Feature Compatibility section in this guide as well as the additional requirements and guidance in the following table.
| Component | Recommended Version/Model |
|---|---|
|
Host NICs (AHV) |
25GbE minimum is recommended, but 100GbE is preferred. 10GbE is supported but not desirable. It is strongly recommended to have at least two ports for each host. |
|
MTU |
Although 9000 or 1500 bytes is supported, we recommend the following configuration: a jumbo MTU of 9000 bytes on both the hosts and storage arrays, with 9216 bytes (or a similar value) configured consistently across the network fabric. If you prefer a standard MTU of 1500 bytes, ensure that both the hosts and the storage arrays are uniformly configured to use 1500 bytes. Any MTU mismatch—for example, hosts configured for 9000 bytes while storage arrays are set to 1500 bytes—can lead to packet fragmentation, retransmissions, and increased latency. |
