Capacity
The minimum total capacity for a Storage Pool is 30 tebibyte (TiB). Any additional capacity can be consumed without any prior allocation and will be billed based on real usage. For more details about calculation, see Cost model. The maximum capacity is determined based on the stored data, specifically how much space deduplication and compression save. These results can vary significantly depending on the type of data stored and cannot be accurately predicted. You can find the maximum total capacity for each existing Storage Pool resource, calculated based on current capacity usage and data type.
The maximum total capacity is not dependent on the selected region and is the same across all regions.
Quota and capacity increases
To increase quota, raise a support ticket with the subscription ID and region information to request for an increase in quota for the “Maximum number of Storage Pools that can be deployed per subscription per region”.
Throughput / IOPS performance
The total performance (throughput and corresponding IOPS) of a Storage Pool is decoupled from the capacity, allowing you to adjust the selected performance at any time. The minimum total performance is 800 MB/s throughput with a corresponding IOPS value (50,000 IOPS). The maximum total performance is 2048 MB/s throughput with a corresponding IOPS value (150,000 IOPS), which is consistent across all supported regions and not dependent on the selected region.
