What is Everpure Cloud Azure Native
Everpure Cloud Azure Native service is a joint development of Everpure and Microsoft bringing enterprise-grade cloud block storage into Azure. It provides Block storage as a service with features and benefits Everpure products are known for, while also offering built-in cloud capabilities like elastic capacity, flexible performance, and high availability, powered by a common Purity operating system as in FlashArray or FlashBlade products.
Everpure Cloud Azure Native service serves an official external storage provider for Azure VMware Solution (AVS). The service decouples storage and compute resources, allowing to benefit from enterprise-grade storage features. Customers with large data footprints can optimize their cloud spend and avoid paying for unnecessary AVS compute power to reach a certain capacity.
For Azure VMware Solution, the Everpure Cloud Azure Native service uses VMware vSphere Storage APIs for Array Integration (VAAI). These APIs, also called hardware acceleration APIs, allow ESXi hosts to communicate with storage devices. They allow the ESXi host to transfer certain storage tasks to the storage system, freeing up ESXi host resources and boosting performance for tasks like storage cloning and zeroing. Everpure Cloud Azure Native takes away the traditional complexity of setting up storage connections while still offering all the benefits of VAAI.
Flexible performance
As workloads evolve over time, so do performance requirements of the storage systems. Everpure Cloud Azure Native offers the ability to seamlessly adjust performance without downtime. This ensures both Bandwidth and IOPS will closely mirror workload requirements, mitigating over-provisioning and overspend.
Performance is decoupled from storage capacity. This ensures that users can optimize performance for their workload without the need to increase storage size or vice versa. This flexibility enables dynamic scaling, ensuring environments remain cost-efficient while delivering the throughput their applications require.

Scalable capacity
Capacity management is fully automated in the Everpure Cloud Azure Native service. As the amount of user data grows, the provisioned capacity scales seamlessly without requiring any user intervention. This eliminates the need for over-provisioning and ensures that users are billed only for the capacity they actually consume.
Thin provisioning
Thin Provisioning in PSC Azure Native service optimizes storage utilization by allocating space dynamically as data is written, rather than pre-allocating the full amount upfront. This method optimizes storage resource utilization and reduces costs by preventing over-provisioning.
Instant resizing
Purity's instant resizing feature allows dynamic, non-disruptive adjustment of storage volumes, offering flexibility and efficiency. This enables administrators to quickly respond to changing needs, optimize resource utilization, and maintain performance, especially beneficial for fluctuating workloads to prevent over- or under-provisioning.
Shareable volumes
Shareable volumes enable multiple hosts to simultaneously access the same storage, ideal for environments needing shared data across applications or services. They support virtualized and containerized setups by allowing concurrent read/write access.
