Complete the following fields:
-
Name: Enter a display name for the adapter instance. A good option here is to simply use the name of the FlashArray you are wanting to be monitored.
-
Description: Optionally enter a description of the adapter instance.
-
FlashArray Hostname or IP: Enter the fully-qualified domain name (FQDN) or virtual IP address of the FlashArray. Specify the credential name used to log in to the FlashArray.
-
Credential: Specify the credential name used to log into the FlashArray.
-
Collector/Group: The VCF Operations collector that is used to manage the Everpure Adapter processesNote: If the credential name does not exist, create a new credential name by clicking the Add New (+) button and completing the following fields in the Manage Credential pop-up window:
-
Credential Name: Enter a unique credential name used to identify the FlashArray login credentials.
- FlashArray Username: Type the FlashArray user name. The user must have at least read-only privileges on the array.
- FlashArray Password: Type the password for the FlashArray user.
-
-
- Click Test Connection to test the connection between the new adapter instance and the FlashArray.
-
Optionally configure the fields in the Advanced Settings section. The Advanced Settings options include:
-
Auto Discovery: Determines how the Everpure adapter discovers the FlashArray objects after the initial adapter configuration. If set to true (default), the Everpure adapter automatically discovers any new objects that have been added to the FlashArray after the initial adapter configuration and collects data for the new objects. If set to false, the Everpure adapter does not discover FlashArray objects. Instead, you must manually select which objects you want VCF Operations to monitor.
-
Filter by vSphere: Determines how the Everpure adapter handles FlashArray objects that do not correspond to a vSphere datastore object. If set to true (default), the Everpure adapter only displays FlashArray objects that map to a vSphere datastore object. If set to false, the Everpure adapter displays all FlashArray resources, including those that are not mapped to vSphere datastore objects.
-
Collect Volume Snapshot Resources: Enables or disables the collection of volume snapshot resources. If you don't want to collect the snapshots on this array object, change this to No; otherwise, leave it as Yes (default).
-
Collect Protection Group Resources: Enables or disables the collection of protection group resources. If you don't want to collect the protection groups on this array object, change this to No; otherwise, leave it as Yes (default).

Collect Protocol Endpoint Resources: Enables or disables the collection of protocol endpoint (part of the vVol data path) resources. If you don't want to collect the protocol endpoints on this array object, change this to No; otherwise, leave it as Yes (default).
-
Collect Pure vVol Virtual Machine Resources: Enables or disables the collection of vVol VMs on this FlashArray. If you don't want to collect the vVol VMs on this array object, change this to No; otherwise, leave it as Yes (default).
-
- Click Save Settings. The FlashArray certificate details appear.
- Read the certificate details. If you trust the certificate, select the check box to accept it and click OK to save the adapter instance settings.
-
Click Close. The new or modified adapter instance and its details appear in the Pure Storage FlashArray Solution Details pane. VCF Operations immediately begins collecting FlashArray object data and alert information.
Note: Approximately five minutes after the installation has completed, the status of the PureStorageAdapter solution changes to the Collection State of "Collecting" and Collection Status of "Data receiving." This verifies that the adapter instance has been correctly installed and configured.
