SRM User Guide: Configuring Site Recovery Manager (8.4 and lower) Tag-Based Storage Policy Discovery

With the release of Site Recovery Manager 8.5 the need for Tag-Based Storage Policies is no longer required to use ActiveCluster with SRM.

Configuring SRM protection for ActiveCluster datastores should be done with datastore groups and array-based replication with SRM 8.5 or higher. This should be done whether using RDMs or not. This KB section gives an example of creating a SRM protection group for ActiveCluster protected VMFS and RDMs.

This User Guide is only relevant for SRM 8.4 and lower. Everpure does recommend using SRM 8.5 or higher when using ActiveCluster with SRM.
