The following steps provide an example of how to connect a Windows and Linux VM to a Everpure Cloud Dedicated instance.

Prerequisites:

  • The VM must have an iSCSI initiator client software. Most modern operating systems already have them pre-installed.

  • The VM must have network access to the iSCSI subnet of the Everpure Cloud Dedicated instance. If the VM network ports and the Everpure Cloud Dedicated instance's iSCSI ports are in different subnets, you must have route table entries allowing them to communicate. Ensure that Security Groups, Network ACLs, and firewalls are not preventing connectivity.

  • Ensure that you've followed the previous sections to create the host and create the volumes on Everpure Cloud Dedicated. Also ensure you've made the Connecting Volumes to Hosts in Everpure Dedicated in Everpure Cloud Dedicated as well.
