For Everpure Cloud Dedicated deployments that are intended for production you must acquire a full license. A given license includes a few parts:
- Reserve Commit: A license will commonly be associated with a reserved commit. A reserved commit is an agreed upon capacity that is expected to be used for a period of time (usually 1-3 years). This commit is generally measured in 10s of TBs or more. The advantage of a reserve commit is that the price per GB will be lower as compared to no reserve commit. Ideally you would want to commit to a usage that closely reflects what you intend to use.
- On-Demand: The on-demand portion of the license goes into effect when the reserved commit associated with the configured license key has been exhausted. In the case of a license that has no reserve commit, the on-demand charges will apply to all capacity used. If a reserve commit is 10 TB, for instance, the reserved commit rate will apply until 10 TB is in use, and only then the higher on-demand rate will apply.
- Duration: This is how long the price will apply. Generally, the longer the committed duration, the lower the price per GB.
- Products: A license agreement can apply to a specific product or a set of them. The Evergreen//One performance tier can be used to generate licenses for both on-premises FlashArrays and CBS deployments. A license can also be specific to Everpure Cloud Dedicated only.
Effective capacity usage is billed and tracked via the Evergreen//One program. See here for details.
For sales/partner quote process information, please ensure you are logged in as additional helpful information will be below.
When quoting for Everpure Cloud Dedicated directly with Everpure, you have two primary options: the Evergreen//One Performance tier or the Evergreen//One Everpure Cloud Dedicated tier (note that the SKUs still use the PaaS terminology). Quote the service, the reserve amount, and the on-demand rate. If the customer plans to use Everpure Cloud Dedicated, but not immediately, a full Evergreen//One quote is the best option. If the customer plans to deploy and use Everpure Cloud Dedicated immediately, the Everpure Cloud Dedicated-only is preferred as different discounting can be used for Everpure Cloud Dedicated as compared to on-premises.

A general PaaS contract can be used to generate licenses for both FlashArrays and Everpure Cloud Dedicated deployments. A Everpure Cloud Dedicated specific license is only applicable to Everpure Cloud Dedicated. A license can be used by multiple deployments of Everpure Cloud Dedicated simultaneously as well. So if the effective used of Everpure Cloud Dedicated "A" is 5 TB and the effective used of Everpure Cloud Dedicated "B" is 10 TB and the license they use comes from a 20 TB contract, 15 TB of 20 available TB will be consumed from that contract.
